Choosing an AIDA course
Which AIDA course should I start with?
+
If you've never freedived, start with AIDA 1 (one day) or go straight to AIDA 2 (three days) for a full first certification. AIDA 2 is the most popular starting point and qualifies you to dive to 20 m with a buddy.
How long does each AIDA course take?
+
AIDA 1 is 1 day, AIDA 2 is 3 days, AIDA 3 is 4 days, and the AIDA 2+3 intensive pathway is 7 days back-to-back.
What do AIDA courses cost in Aqaba?
+
AIDA 1: 120 JOD. AIDA 2: 280 JOD. AIDA 3: 350 JOD. AIDA 2+3 intensive: 600 JOD (saves 30 JOD vs. taking them separately).
Do I need to be a strong swimmer?
+
You need basic swimming ability and reasonable fitness. AIDA courses don't require competitive swimming — they require comfort in water, willingness to follow safety protocols, and a medical history compatible with breath-hold diving.
